‘Who are you??’

I’ve been asked this question a few times since we launched the Sun City Scoop. And honestly, it’s a legitimate question.

I see newsletters for all parts of Phoenix and it is obvious the publisher’s are not local, and they don’t really know much about the community.

My name is J.D. Manning, I’ve been a resident of different parts of North Phoenix since the fall of 1998. My family & I have lived in Arrowhead Ranch for the past 16 years. I am a full-time Realtor with My Home Group. I also publish a weekly newsletter called The Arrowhead News.

My father is Dennis Manning, he is a resident of Sun City West. He is a retired Realtor and currently owns Phoenix Home Watch.

I’m sure you’re thinking ‘ok great J.D., what does that have to do with the Sun City communities?’

As Realtors, we both worked with many client’s who purchased or sold home in Sun City, Sun City West & The Grand. Recently I’ve had several client’s selling in Sun City, and I have been spending much more time in the area. I also had a client who was moving to the area asked me about the community and where to find info on events and other things.

After looking around, I wasn’t really able to find one good source of information for them. So, from that, the Sun City Scoop was born.

We are diving head first into finding as many sources of events, the best deals, and each week we will be sharing what we think people will want to know about.
