COMMUNITY NEWS

~ The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors took a strong stand on Nov. 5 by rejecting a zoning change that would have allowed BNSF Railway to build a multi-billion-dollar freight and logistics hub near Wittmann. While the proposed facility promised significant job creation and economic investment, residents raised alarm over increased traffic, noise, and environmental concerns, and county leaders said the required infrastructure simply isn’t in place. The project isn’t dead, but BNSF will now have to go back to the drawing board and align its plans with the county’s framework before any go-ahead. (link)

Last week’s trivia question was ‘What city is located in Tombstone Canyon?’

The answer was: Bisbee

Tombstone Canyon is the main road and historic district running through Bisbee. The canyon is lined with colorful hillside homes, old miners’ shacks, art galleries, and cafés that reflect Bisbee’s transformation from a 19th-century copper mining town into a quirky, artsy mountain community.

I had someone suggest to me recently that the lovebird images from the newsletter would make a good puzzle. That is certainly an interesting idea. What do you think?

Would you purchase a lovebird puzzle?

It might be fun to let everyone vote on which image would be on the puzzle too. Let me know what you think.
