Last week’s trivia question was, ‘Where is Phantom Ranch located?’ The correct answer: The bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Phantom Ranch is a lodge inside Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. It sits at the bottom of Grand Canyon, on the east side of Bright Angel Creek, a little over half a mile north of the Creek's confluence with the Colorado River. Opened in 1922, Phantom Ranch is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. (link)

Warmer temperatures are here, and with that comes more activity from local wildlife, which can mean encountering one of Arizona’s most famous residents…the rattlesnake.

This is my friend Chris Spalding, and after finding a rattlesnake in his front yard in 2019, he became fascinated with these creatures, and was soon taking lessons in how to handle them. Word spread quick that he was the go to solution when you needed help removing a snake from your property.

Chris is licensed for snake relocation with the Arizona Game & Fish, so if you have the need, give him a call at (602) 312-7237 or visit RattlesnakeDefense.com
