~ The Sun City Recreation Centers have stocked Viewpoint Lake with fresh trout, just in time for prime winter fishing. Cooler water temperatures make trout more active, giving residents a great opportunity to cast a line close to home. Whether you’re a seasoned fisherman or just looking for a relaxing afternoon by the water, now’s the perfect time to enjoy this local amenity. 🎣
~ The Stardust Golf Club in Sun City West is hosting its Stardust Social 2026, on Friday, January 23rd. There will be live music, plus BBQ & fry bread food trucks. (link)
The Stardust Social is our way to celebrate golf in our Sun City West community and share information about our Charter clubs, upcoming events and programs.
We will have vendors, sales on SCW merchandise, music and food trucks to enjoy.
Stop by Stardust GC on Friday, January 23rd between 3 and 6pm to have a cold one, visit with friends, listen to some great music and eat an early dinner! No cost to attend

This Week

[Sun City] Check out Dancing with the Sun City Rec Stars on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Sundial Auditorium, where judges and the audience will help choose the winners. Doors open at 5:00 pm, the show starts at 6:00 pm, and $5 donation tickets benefiting the Sun City Foundation are available at the Sundial Center Activities Office, limited quantities, so don’t wait!
[Sun City] This week’s movie is ‘THE MASK, The true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Showtimes are Wednesday 1/21 at 2pm & 7pm at the Marinette Rec Center & Saturday 1/24 at 2pm & 7pm at the MOUNTAIN MUSIC ROOM (New location). See the January movie lineup here.
[Sun City] As part of the WINTER Ticketed Mini-Series, VALENS TO VALLI will be held on Wednesday, January 21st, at 6pm at the Sundial Recreation Center. (link)

[Sun City West] The Sun City West Friday Farmers Market. The market is every Friday from 10am-2pm at the Lord of Life Lutherans Church. (link)
[Sun City] The Sun City Farmers Market is back at the Bell Center, on 99th Ave just south of Bell Road. The market will be held every Thursday from 9am-1pm. (link)
[Sun City] Desert Glow Farmers Markets is hosting their market, from 8am-12pm on Thursdays, at Desert Episcopal Church. (link & map)
[Surprise] Surprise Farmer’s Market, every Sunday from 3-7pm. A weekly market featuring fresh local ingredients, homemade goods, and artisanal crafts from nearby farms and ranches. (link & map)
[Sun City West] The Sun City West Desert Garden Club hosts weekly PLANT SALES from 9:00am to noon each Thursday Club members will be on hand during sales to answer questions and offer gardening advice. Visitors are encouraged to tour the adjacent botanical garden during their visit to the greenhouse. The plant sales are open to the public and payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Supporting Education and the Community.

CLUBS

The Piano Club of Sun City will host "A Celebration of Music!" - this year's free An Evening to Remember concert. The concert will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, in the Sundial Auditorium, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. All are welcome to attend.
It promises to be a wonderful evening with talented club performers taking center stage. Expect to hear a diverse collection of musical styles, including popular songs, show tunes, and classical masterpieces. Doors open at 6 pm with pre-program music starting at 6:30 pm.
