It’s that time of year, citrus trees are full of ripe fruit and you’re likely trying to give away the excess harvest. If you’re not able to pawn it to your neighbors, St. Mary’s Food Bank is accept citrus donations. They are hosting a drop off event on February 8th from 9am-3pm in Sun City West at Desert Garden United Church of Christ. (link & map)

A Sun City firefighter was injured & hospitalized on January 30th, when the garbage truck they were working on to extinguish a fire, exploded. The latest update indicates he is expected to make a full recovery. (link)

Sun City West resident, Republican Frank Carroll is seeking the ability for the State of Arizona to sue neighboring communities whose emissions impact local air quality. (link)

Desert Diamond White Tanks Casino is now open. The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise held a grand opening in December for their newest facility at Northern Avenue & Loop 303. (link & map)

Sun City West Recreation Centers have implemented its new Guest Pass program utilizing wristbands to be worn by guests. The program is intended to ease the proces of monitoring guests and provide easier access to facilities. (link)

It’s Phoenix Open week here in the Valley, and if you’re making the trip to Scottsdale for the party, or the golf tournament, some things have changed and you’ll want to know what to expect before you get there. (link)

[Sun City] The Complete Beatles Experience. Britain’s Finest, a Beatles tribute band, is performing at the Sundial Auditorium on February 5th at 6pm. Tickets are still available for members and guests. (link)

[Sun City West] The 13th Annual ARC Car Show will be held on February 8th, 2025 from 8am-3pm. Everyone is welcome and it is free to attend. You can purchase raffle tickets to win many prizes, including a 2004 Ford Thunderbird or $10,000 cash! (link & map)

The Sun City Posse and Sun City West Posse are in need of volunteers.
